The forest seemed alive as... By Kate Howard.

The forest seemed alive as I raced away from my pursuers. Feeling as though thousands of creatures were watching me, I closed my eyes.Consequently,I hurtled over a mouldy old log that was lying on the disused path.Picking myself up, I winced as I felt a deep cut on my arm.Suddenly, hearing a shout ,I panicked and started sprinting in a random direction. Not knowing and not caring where I went, just thinking; 'I need to get away' Then, out of the gloom of the dark forest,I saw a light. Happiness exploded inside me and I ran towards it.

Charlotte Cooper

The cool summer breeze was drifting past me as I lay on the hot sand. It was my 9th birthday and we were at my grannies. Then suddenly a wave of sand hurtled towards my face. I didn't want to go in the water but it was far too hot to stay out. As I sprinted across the sun lit sand it was like the sand was devolving beneath my feet. Leaping into the cool water,I felt so refreshed. I sat down and splashed around. Then something grabbed my leg it pulled me deeper,I held on for dear life.

The rust gate creaked... by Sam

The old, rusty, abandoned gate creaked open and Jeffrey walked through towards the creepy house, with Bob following him. Holding his iPod, Bob started to play a spooky theme tune. Jeffreys mobile rang. His mum told him You and Bob will be left alone because I'm going to work for a couple of hours. Jeffrey imagined his impatient mum driving away in her red Porsche. As Jeffrey and Bob tiptoed through the slightly ajar door, they both stood on the expensive rug. The wooden door slammed behind them and a tall, threatening man stomped down the stairs. He flicked a switch and they both fell down, down, down.

The rusty gate creaked by Johnny

I slowly walked up to the graveyard gates. My heart was pounding,my body sweating and I was very frightened. The rusty gate creaked open. All I could hear were wolves howling and owls hooting in the moonlight.I turned around to run out of the graveyard but somehow the gate had locked itself and there was no way out of the dark gloomy maze.My heart was racing and my body shaking.I knew if I didn't get out soon I was going to faint with fright.I found a gap in the wall and tried to slither through but I couldn't do it.I thought I was going to be stuck here forever.

The rusty gate creaked by Phoebe

Joe woke up, that spilt second the clock struck 12. The long dark hall way had no life to it. He could hear the careworkers, Jenny's , deafening snore.
Joe could smell the beans and mouldy sausages left from last nights tea. Joe knew he had to break free.
Eventually, he got down to the rusty stairs hardly able to walk. Joe took one last glimpse at rundown carehome. But when took one step out, the rusty gate creaked. A light flicked on it was Jenny's room! He took a trudge into the middle of the road. Joe closed his eyes and thought about what he was doing.
As soon as Jenny looked, he was gone.

He opened the rusty gate, it creaked. He crept into the graveyard . Suddenly a white blur wizzed past him. Alex ran as fast as he could . It started raining . The willow tree came crashing down.

Hit and run dog by Junayd

"Where is he?" thought Chris. He couldn't find his dog.Suddenly his eyes flickered to the side and he noticed muddy paw prints along the floor, leading to the door.Eventually Chris realised he must have left the house. He raced outside and wondered where a dog would go.Then he thought of the park.Chris sprinted across the road and down the short path to the park.He looked everywhere but his dog wasn't there. Now he was starting to cry and then, when he had his last peace of hope gadding away he heard the rusty gate creak and while weeping; he turned his head to see it was his dog ,Jasper, running away.
